Keep Coming Back

At the close of meetings, we generally say, "Keep coming back"....and at some meetings they say..."and give a lot of love. It works if you work it, and you're worth it." Personally, I am not really fond of the hopla after the original slogan, but it is the truth.

The program works when I work it...and I am certainly worth every ounce of effort that I need to do to sustain the relationship that I have today with God, my family and my friends. For me, my clarity, love and peace of mind begins with my abstinence.

For "normal" eaters, this is a hard concept to swallow, but for people like me (other food addicts), this is a given. I am happy that I know that about me today. It's the truth that keeps me free!

And for this sick and suffering addict, when I was in my research stage, I often heard, "Don't leave before the miracle happens for you!"

I didn't believe it as I cried walking in and out of the meetings (with a head full of program and a belly full of food), but today, I am a walking and talking miracle!

So friends, I say the same thing to you, "Keep coming back...The program works if you work it, and you are worth it. Don't leave before the miracle happens for you!"

God bless you and keep you in His tender loving arms today.

God has great plans for every one of His children! Reminds me of the old-timer's song, "It is no secret what God can do. What He's done for others, He'll do for you!..." You smiling with me, friend?

Love and peace,

I feel I have had many different miracles in my life so I believe whole heartedly. Every day we are abstinence is a miracle from God. One day at a time, one miracle at a time.

Pam, you are an inspiration!

Sheri,

I am with you, girl. An abstinent day, no matter what's happening, is a good day!
