...and supremely happy with You forever in the next...

God grant me the serenity
the accept the things I cannot change
the courage to change the things I can
and the wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time,
enjoying one moment at a time,
accepting hardship as a pathway to peace;

Taking as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it.
Trusting that You will make all things right
if I surrender to Your will

So that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with You forever in the next. Amen

"Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. "
Psalm 28:7 NLT
~
"For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life."
John 3:l6, Amplified Bible
~
God's Word stands true. What more can I say?

Thank You, Lord, for Your love and grace. Thank You, Lord, for picking me up out of the muck and the mire and placing my feet on solid ground. You are worthy to be praised. I love You, Lord Jesus.

I was just talking with some folks today about how this is not the time for heaven, how this time on earth is just a speck in the stream of eternity, a time to live for His glory. I know so many folks who are hurting right now, experiencing those "dark nights of the soul," who also experience the "joy that comes in the morning." This time on earth is so full of those ups and downs, but through it all He walks with us, carries all of our burdens, and turns all of these experiences to our good and His glory. We can be reasonable happy during this short time on earth because of Him, but boy, oh boy, is it going to be amazing when we get to be with Him in heaven!!! Supremely happy is a good description of how I imagine we will all be feeling. We can keep our eyes on that as we expend ourselves during our time here on earth.

I pray for a vision of eternity for each one of us on this journey.
