I woke up this morning with a song of praise in my heart! And immediately God gave me the Scripture, "A happy heart is good medicine for the soul!" Don't know where it is in the Bible, but it's somewhere in Psalms.
It's exciting to be at the stage in life where I can see beyond my trials and tribulations (as a general rule anyway)...and I am understanding James more and more when he tells us to "consider it all joy when you face trials of many kinds...." It's okay. Trials grow me up. Each time when I face another challenge, I learn more ways to cope and I see how God works out everything for His good..and my good, too.
As I seem to say more and more, "My experiences have been my best teachers!"
So, friends, a happy heart is good medicine for the soul! And a happy heart doesn't overeat.
